What is the weather like in Jalcomulco?

It has a subtropical climate, at 400 meters above sea level with temperatures varying from 20° C to 40°C in summer and between 18°C and 28°C in the winter. During the rainy season we suggest carrying rain gear.

Is any previous experience necessary for the rafting and other activities?

No, it’s not necessary. We provide the beginner with basic training so the activities will be fun and safe.

Do we need to bring our own gear for these activities (rafting, rappelling and zip-lining)?

Aldea® provides all the equipment you will need. You should wear a T-shirt, thongs or water shoes which are tightly secured and will not fall off in the water and if you wear glasses, you should have some mechanism that prevents their falling off in the water.

How is the degree of difficulty of the river descent determined?

There are descents of varying degrees of difficulty and we take into account the age and experience of the participants when choosing a descent for you.

Can bad weather prevent a river descent?

Since there is a degree of risk related to the amount of water and the kind of rapids to be navigated, if there has been intense rain during the previous week or on the day of the descent, navigating the river may not be safe and the descent will be postponed until the weather improves or we may be able to go to the other river and carry out the descent there.

Can arrangements be made for special longer rafting trips?
